An exhibition of bespoke collars by select makers’ hands from across Aotearoa.
Presented during New Zealand Fashion Week, this collective exhibition brings together a group of invited makers, each responding to the collar as both object and adornment. Personally designed and made by each maker, every piece reflects an individual practice while contributing to a shared narrative that celebrates craftsmanship, process, and the enduring value of making by hand.
Suspended together as a single installation, the collars become a portrait of contemporary making in Aotearoa revealing the richness of material exploration, technical skill, and creative expression across disciplines.
