EAT

Where to eat, drink and celebrate the week in style.

Staying with our Accommodation Partner Hotel Indigo puts you within walking distance of some of the city’s most exciting food destinations. Try Bistro Saine, directly underneath Hotel Indigo, or venture in to Britomart for Italian done impeccably at Amano or fresh, sustainably caught seafood at Kingi. Just steps away, Commercial Bay delivers the refined French flavours of Origine and the perfect perch for sunset cocktails at Queens Rooftop. Tucked nearby, Kemuri Hi-Fi is a moody Japanese listening bar with impeccable highballs and small plates. In the Viaduct, Soul Bar & Bistro is an Auckland institution known for seafood platters and waterfront glamour.

Craving something sweet? Giapo’s imaginative ice creams are like edible couture.

If you’re here over the weekend, wander through the Britomart Saturday Market for locally grown produce, fresh flowers and artisan treats.

Heading uptown? Westfield Newmarket is home to some of the city’s most elevated casual dining — from White + Wong’s and Bodrum Market on the rooftop to new dessert pop-up Island Gelato Company, it’s perfect for a post-shop bite or a low-key dinner between shows.

Explore treasured Māori tourism businesses and enrich your experience of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. From cultural tours and educational experiences to performing arts, hospitality, and shopping, feel the spirit of manaakitanga (generosity and hospitality) as you deepen your connection with Auckland.

Art to Walk For
Just steps from Shed 10, a self-guided tour of some of Auckland’s most powerful public artworks awaits. Begin at
The Lighthouse / Tū Whenua-a-Kura by Michael Parekōwhai on Queens Wharf - a glowing state house filled with neon constellations and a mirrored Captain Cook, perched at the edge of the Waitematā. From there, head toward Britomart to find Te Rou Kai / Pipi Beds by Chaz Doherty and Ngāti Whātua artists - sixteen carved boulders and jet fountains that honour the former shoreline and its rich Māori history. Then, across from the Ferry Building at Te Komititanga, encounter Molly Macalister’s A Māori Figure in a Kaitaka Cloak - a striking bronze rangatira standing in quiet welcome, holding a mere in peace. Together, these works celebrate place, people, and the layered stories of Tāmaki Makaurau.

SHOP

Step off the runway and into the racks. From flagship boutiques to curated concept spaces, Auckland is home to many of the designers showing at NZFW 2025. Here’s where to find them IRL.

EXPLORE

Auckland’s inner suburbs offer style, soul and plenty to discover between shows. Ponsonby is a go-to for boutique fashion, gallery-hopping and daytime dining. Karangahape Road (K’ Road) blends edgy creativity with vintage stores, concept spaces and underground cool – don’t miss St Kevin’s Arcade, a character-filled strip of independent shops and cult-favourite eateries. For something a little more laidback, Herne Bay delivers leafy streets, curated interiors stores and coastal strolls.
