Kāhui Collective

THURSDAY 20 AUGUST
6:00PM

SHED 10 AUCKLAND WATERFRONT

Shed 10 venue opens from 8:30AM daily | Show Doors 5:30PM | Show Starts 6:00PM

Kāhui Collective arrives at New Zealand Fashion Week as a living tapestry of Indigenous design, where threads of whakapapa, innovation, and identity are woven across oceans.

On the runway, eight Aotearoa NZ-based Māori and Pasifika fashion brands stand alongside eight international Indigenous fashion brands, each bringing their own stories, techniques, and matauranga (ancestral knowledge) into a collective expression of what indigenous fashion is in today’s global conversation.

Beyond the runway, this collective expands into an immersive retail and cultural activation, where these designers, joined by more than 40 Indigenous creatives and makers, gather within New Zealand’s first Indigenous Fashion Symposium, unfolding across the week of NZFW26.

Here, fashion becomes more than adornment, it is a language of connection, a space of exchange, and a powerful expression of Indigenous futures.
